More than 5,000 sudden deaths extracted from police reports in the South Australian Government Gazette in the period 1845-1941. It includes deaths in the Northern Territory up to the end of 1910 when the Commonwealth Government took over NT administration from SA.
The search results may include surname, given names, alternate names, date and place of death, and date reported. There are numerous records where the surname is unknown. Additional information to be found in the book and CD includes cause of death, occupation, age and origin of the deceased.
If the death you require is not in this database you may wish to search the early SA deaths database.
